''The Album of the Year'' is a compilation album presented by American rap label Suave House Records on July 29, 1997. The album contained ten tracks recorded by Suave House artists including 8Ball & MJG, Tela and South Circle, each of which featured production from Suave House's production team, Smoke One Productions. Upon its release, ''The Album of the Year'' rose to #26 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and #4 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
